The evolution of perfect design - Oberon 2.0: new Quaryl® baths for ultimate bathing comfort

Press release   •   Mar 06, 2018 08:00 GMT

Clarity in design and function – with their precise lines and characteristic combination of rectangular and oval shapes, the premium Quaryl® baths from the Oberon series are real design classics, available in a selection of models to coordinate ideally in almost every size and style of bathroom. For the first time, the Oberon baths are now available with a central outlet and in a wall-standing version - Villeroy & Boch is expanding the series to include three new bathtubs with a timeless design.

Oberon 2.0 consists of a built-in bathtub in two sizes 180 x 80 cm and 170 x 75 cm, as well as a space-saving 180 x 80 cm rear wall bathtub. The central outlets on all models ensure a comfortable bathing experience for two people. The slender 10 mm rim gives the baths an impression of delicate lightness and emphasises the series’ traditional distinctive character. An interior depth of 47 cm and very thin rims pave the way for enhanced comfort and relaxed bathing.

The 180 x 80 cm rear wall bath is a real feature in the bathroom – against large wall surfaces as well as dividing walls and partitions. The wall-standing version can be supplied with a coloured panel to create a stylish highlight in the bathroom. The favourite shade from the huge selection of SIKKENS and RAL colours can be selected. The personalised bathtub will be painted on the outside while retaining its high-gloss white finish on the inside.

The flush-mounted integrated outlet and overflow fittings with push-open valves are available in both white and chrome for either a harmonious tone-on-tone effect or to create an elegant metallic highlight in the brilliant white bathtub.

The new Oberon 2.0 models are available optionally with overflow bath fillers and rim fittings are also possible on all models. For a very special bathing experience, the baths can be fitted with a whirlpool system. In the AirPool system, air nozzles in the base of the bath provide a stimulating massage, while the HydroPool system uses water jets to deliver a targeted muscle massage. The CombiPool, consisting of the AirPool and HydroPool systems, features air nozzles in the base of the bath and water nozzles arranged around the back, the sides and/or the foot area, depending on the model. All three whirlpool systems are available with different comfort features.
Another option to take bathing pleasure to a whole new level is the ViSound sound system. This allows you to stream audio files from a smartphone, tablet or any other Bluetooth®-enabled device, transforming the bathtub into a loudspeaker for a perfect sound experience.

With the three new Oberon 2.0 models together with the existing 160 x 60 cm, 170 x 70 cm, 170 x 75 cm, 180 x 80 cm and 190 x 90 cm versions, the Oberon series offers a varied selection of bathtubs. This innovative material is available exclusively from Villeroy & Boch and has been setting new standards in aesthetic bathroom design for 25 years. Quaryl® combines the best properties of natural quartz (60% content) with the versatility of natural acrylic resin. Quaryl® therefore represents a new material offering all the positive qualities you could wish for from a bathtub – malleable, resistant and timeless, warm and pure.
