Press release   •   Mar 14, 2017 11:48 GMT

Villeroy & Boch offers a comprehensive system collection under the name of Architectura, which is geared towards the needs of installers, planners and architects in terms of product range and pricing. Architectura boasts an impressive puristic timeless modern design coupled with innovative functionality and is setting new standards for hygiene, efficiency and maintenance. The product range includes washbasins, toilets and urinals as well as innovative shower areas, which create planning options for country-specific, standardised solutions – for public and private sanitary projects of any size.

Villeroy & Boch frequently scrutinises the range and continues to develop it, ensuring Architectura is always able to cater to current market needs. The system collection is going to gain market-specific key products in 2017, which will make the planning process for architects and planners easier.

Tailored solutions for local markets

New floor-standing toilet models have been developed with regional specifications, taking into account different demands for sanitary products in different markets. Floor-standing, back to wall designs, so-called “bucket style toilets” are very popular in Italy. There is also a choice of two toilet combinations in so-called “one-piece” and “two-piece” designs for the Asian market. All variations blend perfectly with the contemporary Architectura design and can, therefore, be easily combined with existing Architectura products.

New accessible toilet with the Architectura design

An Architectura Vita toilet has been added to the toilet range that has a 700 mm projection and complies with the DIN 18040 standard for accessible construction. It has also incorporated the contemporary design of the Architectura system collection while taking into account the need for accessible as well as attractive bathroom solutions. The consistent design of the system collection allows planners and architects to uniformly implement standard solutions and accessible bathrooms.

Washbasins for different installation systems and layouts

Architectura also has washbasins with different installation types for any kind of layout. The range also features compact washbasins and hand-rinse washbasins, enabling small rooms to be equipped with Architectura products. Hand-rinse washbasins, which can be fitted with an optional tap hole bench behind or at the side, as well as a Compact washbasin and a Compact toilet with a slight projection will be available from 2017.

A semi-recessed and a semi-mounted washbasin with a tap hole bench as well as three hand-rinse washbasins with a tap hole bench that has tap holes arranged in different orders open up more design options and provide flexible solutions even in the smallest of rooms.

The minimalist and stylish washbasins are ideal for individual designs. They come in round, oval and angular shapes and can be installed as surface-mounted, built-in and undercounter washbasins. The angular model can also be semi-mounted, opening up even more attractive design options.

Toilet variety for maximum hygiene

The Architectura washbasins have been joined by different toilet models. Round and angular wall-mounted DirectFlush toilets are available with the four Compact, Standard, CL and Vita (accessible) projections, providing tailored solutions for any kind of layout. The space-saving Compact version is perfect for small bathrooms or guest toilets. The expansive XL version is geared towards tall or heavy people who prefer a larger seat for even more comfort. The Architectura toilet range also consists of various floor-standing models, which also come with the DirectFlush technology. It also includes three bidets:one round and one angular wall-mounted version as well as a floor-standing version.

A number of Architectura toilets are fitted with the rimless DirectFlush technology for easy cleaning and maximum hygiene. The toilet bowl can be flushed completely without any splashing thanks to the special splashguard at the top of the bowl and the intelligent flushing system. DirectFlush provides an optimal flush, even with low water consumption. The rimless toilets are quick and easy to clean thanks to the completely glazed and open rim. The Architectura toilets come with an optional AntiBac anti-bacterial glaze and dirt-repellent CeramicPlus surface finish. This makes Architectura toilets ideal for places with higher hygiene requirements such as hospitals or high-traffic public buildings as well as demanding private households.

Comprehensive service

The Architectura system programme has been integrated into the all-round Villeroy & Boch Projectsconcept that provides professional users not only with special product lines but also with a comprehensive service. This includes a hotline with experts and with improved business hours as well as a QR code on the product labels that gives access to technical drawings, mounting dimensions as well as important product information via smartphones or tablets.
