Bocuse d’Or 2018/2019:

Stella Vogue and Blossom Hotel from Villeroy & Boch are the official competition plates

The Bocuse d’Or is probably the most famous international cooking contest. The best chefs in the world come together every two years to pit their culinary skills against one another in Lyon, the home town of Paul Bocuse, the namesake and initiator of the competition. The grand finale will take place in January 2019. The finalists have to quality beforehand in national and regional heats.

The international chefs will be presenting their dishes on Stella Vogue and Blossom Hotel

The Villeroy & Boch Hospitality Division will be at the Bocuse d‘Or Europe in Turin from 10 to 12 June 2018 and at the Bocuse d’Or grand finale in Lyon on 29 and 30 January 2019. Furthermore, Villeroy & Boch and the respective country teams will be involved in the national heats, as they were most recently in France.

The candidates can choose from a selection of plates in the Stella Vogue and Stella Hotel ranges to serve their dishes. All meat dishes will be draped in the Blossom Hotel collection, from the large presentation plate to the dinner plate.

Thanks to their size and elegant design, the stylish round plates in the Stella Vogue and Stella Hotel collections provide the chefs with plenty of scope to showcase their creations. Inspired by nature, the unusual design of Blossom Hotel features a floral pattern that radiates elegance. The delicate geometry is surprising – its intentionally irregular contours give every piece a unique look.

In addition to the current competition plates, Villeroy & Boch will be producing a limited edition Bocuse d’Or collector’s plate again, which all finalists and guests at the gala dinner will receive on the evening of the finale. The special pattern is traditionally created by the French artist and designer Alain Vavro. He has been designing the pattern for the collector’s plate. This time, his pattern will be adorning a plate in the Blossom Hotel range.

As a “Membre associé du Bocuse d’Or”, Villeroy & Boch has been deeply involved in the prestigious cooking competition for many years.
