As essential as fresh flowers: the right vase New forms, colours and sizes for the successful vase collection

Press release   •   Feb 11, 2016 09:00 GMT

No matter whether they were a present or bought in a moment of self-indulgence, nothing brightens the day like a bunch of fresh flowers. And it no longer needs to be a uniform bouquet of roses or tulips, an individually composed mix-and-match of various exotic and seasonal flowers is a more extravagant gesture. Villeroy & Boch is always looking to satisfy the demand for individuality and thus offers a vase collection consisting of five vases in different sizes and colours. There is a choice between the bud-vase Nek for single flowers, the classically straight vases Numa and Verso, which taper or widen towards the top, and the model Oronda, new this year.

Oronda is inspired by the classical round form of generously bound bouquets and is characterised by particularly soft, natural contours. The vase is available in two sizes and six colours: Midnight Sky (dark blue), Arctic Breeze (white), Caribbean Sea (turquoise), Soft Raspberry (rose), Deep Cherry (red) and Juicy Lime (green).

The mini-vases in the forms Nek, Numa and Tiko are now also available in two new colours: Lovely Rose and Mellow Blue. Both shades are inspired by the Pantone trend colours for 2016. The mini-vases are suitable as table decorations for use with tableware collections like Mariefleur, Mariefleur Gris, Rose Cottage and Artesano Provençal Lavendel. The little vases also make ideal gifts – best of all when accompanied by appropriate flowers.

Villeroy & Boch has created a new colour exclusively for Verso, a vase characterised by a slender form that widens slightly towards the top. The existing seven colours are joined by Orange Sunset, a radiantly luminous and warm shade of orange. All the articles of the vase collection are manufactured using a traditional overlay technique and consist of four layers of real, brilliantly lustrous, coloured glass – a production technique that only glassblowers with years of experience are able to master. The vases are elegant decorative objects and may be placed alone or combined with one another.
